Download a Steam Workshop Item

WorkshopFetch checks one Workshop item at a time. If Steam gives it a public direct link, open it. If not, copy the item-specific SteamCMD command and run it on your own PC.

    Copy the Workshop link

    Open the exact mod, map, or other Workshop item you want. Copy its link, such as steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=122941542. You can also use the numeric ID by itself.

    Paste it into the tool

    Return to Steam Workshop Downloader, paste the link or ID, and select “Check download options.”

    See what Steam returns

    The result page shows the details Steam returned, including the title, file name, size, tags, and last update time when available.

    Open the link or use SteamCMD

    If Steam returns a valid direct URL on its approved CDN host, you will see a download button. If it does not, the result page prepares the SteamCMD command for that exact item. Before opening or installing anything, review the Workshop download safety checklist.

    Use SteamCMD locally when needed

    Install SteamCMD from Valve's official guide, open it on your computer, and enter login anonymous. Copy the generated workshop_download_item command from the result page. If Steam rejects access, log in with your own Steam account that owns the game; never enter credentials on this website.
