SteamCMD guide

Use SteamCMD for a Steam Workshop Item

SteamCMD is Valve's command-line Steam client. This site can prepare an item-specific command when Steam returns item details but no public direct file URL; it never runs SteamCMD or receives your credentials.

  1. 1

    Check one Workshop item first

Paste one individual item URL or Published File ID into the lookup tool.

  2. 2

    Copy the generated command

If no public direct Steam link is available, copy the command built from the App ID and Published File ID Steam returned.

  3. 3

    Run SteamCMD locally

Use SteamCMD on your own computer. Start with anonymous login if appropriate; if Steam denies access, use your own entitled Steam account locally.

Questions

No. Steam, the game, ownership, and item permissions can limit access.

Should I enter my Steam password on this website?

No. This website never asks for or handles Steam credentials.

Does SteamCMD bypass ownership or private content?

No. Use only content you are authorized to access and follow Steam and game-specific rules.
